How long does it take to develop a custom eyewear sample?

We have two main timelines for samples: a brand-new design, and customizing from our existing models.

1. New, Custom-Designed Products (The Long Route)

If you want a totally new eyewear design, the whole process takes about 5 to 6 months from start to finish. We start with 2D sketches, get your approval, and then spend 1 to 2 months building the detailed 3D computer files. After that, it takes at least 1 month to create the mold, plus another 2 to 3 weeks for mold-testing to make sure the mold is perfect for mass production. Finally, the actual physical sampling takes another 4 to 6 weeks. It’s a thorough process, but it ensures your completely custom design is perfect.

2. Customizing Our Existing Models (The Fast Route)

If you choose one of our existing frame styles and just want to customize the colors or logos (ODM service), the timeline is much faster because we skip the long design and mold-making steps. We move straight to the sampling stage, which takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Once the sample is ready, we ship it to you via express courier. Shipping usually takes 3 to 10 days, depending on your location. Although it rarely happens, sometimes customs checks or other issues might slow the delivery down to 10 to 20 days.
